A Swedish 19th century hand-painted dome top dowry trunk with its original blue paintwork. The facade depicts the initials 'BTA' along with the date, 1801, and further decorative elements such as the trompe l'oeil swags with tassels to the front of the trunk and retains its original carrying handles to the side. The top opens to reveal a plain interior for storage with a single shelf on the left.
